Anti Aging Training

Anti Aging Training Belgravia, London

We aim to integrate movements that will increase bone density, improve balance and reflexes as well as correcting postural issues. This program has been proven to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass and testosterone whilst reducing any chances of injury. Studies suggest exercise is still more effective than any drug is in slowing the aging process.

The main focus of this program is to cover aspects that are very important for continuing good health, but which, more importantly, decline as we get older.

Flexibility- With age our muscle mass decreases and the number and size of the muscle fibres also reduce. Movement of the joints becomes stiffer and there is less flexibility as the amount of synovial fluid inside your joints decreases and the cartilage wears down and becomes thinner. Ligaments also tend to tighten and lose some flexibility, making joints feel stiff. Our flexibility training is crucial to lengthen the muscles (thus easing pressure on the joints) to correct your posture and to make you less susceptible to injuries.

Endurance- Endurance training, which can consist of walking, running, rowing or swimming can slow, or even reverse cellular aging, more so than just a program that consists of just strength training. This makes our anti-aging program vital as it incorporates both of these training methods. Endurance training also has obvious health benefits regarding the heart and lungs.

Strength- As we know, we lose strength and muscle during the aging process around 1-2% of muscle mass per year after 50.This is called sarcopenia. Strength training, using resistance machines, free weights or bodyweight can increase muscle strength and size, increase bone density to keep osteoporosis away, and can have both physical and mental benefits.

Balance- Balance is crucial to everyday living. This, and coordination, decrease as we get older. Specific balance and reaction exercises are included in this program to train the body, and importantly, the brain. Our balance training will improve proprioception, helping to reduce the risk of falls and having cognitive benefits.
